Red Light Therapy in Lilydale

Experience Whole-Body Renewal

Advanced red and near-infrared light therapy to support muscle recovery, joint comfort and healthier-looking skin, all in your own private treatment space.

What Is Red Light Therapy?

A Little Light. A Lot of Potential.

Red light therapy, also known as photobiomodulation, uses specific wavelengths of red and near-infrared light to stimulate cellular activity and support the body's natural recovery processes.

At Kindred Warrior in Lilydale, we use an advanced, commercial-grade LED panel featuring seven adjustable wavelengths and built-in wellness programmes. The light interacts with your cells, particularly the mitochondria responsible for producing energy, supporting processes involved in tissue repair, inflammation and skin health.

Whether you're managing everyday aches, recovering after exercise, noticing changes in your skin or simply looking for another way to support your wellbeing, red light therapy offers a gentle, non-invasive option.

And the best part? You can lie back, switch off and enjoy a little uninterrupted time to yourself.

Your Red Light Therapy Questions Answered

Everything you need to know before your first visit.

What is red light therapy?

Red light therapy is a non-invasive treatment that uses specific wavelengths of red and near-infrared light to interact with your cells and support natural cellular processes. Research suggests potential benefits for muscle recovery, joint comfort and skin health.

How long is a red light therapy session?

Each appointment is approximately 20 minutes, including up to 15 minutes of light therapy. This allows time to get comfortable before and after your session.

What should I wear?

We recommend underwear, shorts or a swimsuit so the light can reach the areas of skin being treated. You'll have complete privacy to change and get comfortable before your session.

Do I need to prepare for my session?

Arrive 5–10 minutes early with clean, dry skin. Ideally, avoid makeup, sunscreen and lotions on the areas being treated. We'll provide protective eyewear and help you get settled.

How often should I have red light therapy?

This depends on your goals and individual circumstances. Many research protocols involve multiple sessions over several weeks. Some people choose regular appointments as part of their wellness routine, although results vary. Our packages are designed to provide you with excellent value to encourage consistent sessions and reap the benefits. We recommend a 3 sessions pack for clients who wish to experience maximum benefits

Is red light therapy safe?

Red light therapy is generally well tolerated when used appropriately. However, it isn't suitable for everyone. If you're pregnant, have a medical condition, take medication that increases light sensitivity or have concerns about your skin or eyes, please consult your doctor or pharmacist before booking. Protective eyewear is provided and should be worn as directed. If you are unsure please contact us

Can red light therapy help with joint pain or skin ageing?

Some studies suggest red and near-infrared light therapy may help with certain types of musculoskeletal pain and improve aspects of skin appearance, including fine lines and texture. Results vary, and red light therapy is not a replacement for medical treatment.

Can I combine red light therapy with an infrared sauna session?

Yes, many people choose to include both in their wellness routine. Our infrared sauna offers gentle heat and relaxation, while red light therapy uses targeted light wavelengths. They are separate treatments and can be booked individually. If you have health concerns about combining them, seek medical advice first.

Can red light therapy help teenage acne, and is there a minimum age?

Certain blue and red light treatments may help improve mild to moderate inflammatory acne, although results vary and not all types of acne respond to light therapy.

For clients under 18, please contact us before booking.

Younger skin may require different treatment settings and additional precautions, so we'd like to discuss your individual needs and ensure the treatment is suitable.

Parent or guardian consent is required, and we may recommend checking with your GP or dermatologist before proceeding.

Red light therapy is a complementary wellness service. Individual results vary and treatments are not intended to diagnose, treat or cure medical conditions.
