Yin Yoga is a slow-paced style of yoga that involves holding passive poses for an extended period, typically ranging from 3 to 5 minutes or more.
Unlike dynamic yoga styles that focus on muscular engagement and movement, Yin Yoga targets the deep connective tissues, such as ligaments, tendons, and fascia, along with the joints.
The practice emphasises relaxation and surrender, allowing practitioners to access deeper layers of tension and release physical and mental stress. Yin Yoga poses are often seated or reclined and are held with a relaxed muscle engagement, encouraging the body to soften and release over time.
This gentle practice is designed to increase flexibility, improve joint mobility, enhance energy flow, and promote a sense of calm and balance in both body and mind.
As long as you've completed a 200-hour yoga teacher training, have insurance, and hold first aid qualifications, you're all set!
