Yoga for NDIS Participants

NDIS SUPPORTED SERVICES TO SELF-MANAGED AND PLAN MANAGED PARTICIPANTS

NDIS Yoga in Lilydale

Kindred Warrior mindful yoga care includes private 1:1 yoga for NDIS participants.

We provide a caring and supportive environment and offer group and private services that help you achieve your NDIS and personal goals.

Our priority is improving clients' physical, mental, emotional, and social health and well-being through physical activity and healthy movement practices. By doing so we also support maintaining independence and community participation.

We provide support through exercise and healthy movement practices as a means of therapy and treatment for clients' disabilities as indicated in the client's NDIS plan and aim to assist clients in achieving the goals they have set out in their plan.

The sessions explore yoga-based body practices for improving physical fitness and befriending the body, mindfulness to manage difficult emotions and thoughts, and breathing and relaxation techniques for calming the mind and nervous system. We can also explore your spiritual beliefs if you have them!

From increasing, strength and confidence to developing a range of strategies to manage stress, the tools of yoga are incredibly helpful for all people, but particularly those with a disability who may not be able to access public yoga classes.

"Estelle ran a fun and light-hearted mixed session of mindfulness and gentle yoga. I found the session easy to follow and appreciated Estelle's accessible approach."

"I have been struggling with my mental health for over 3 years. During that time, I tried many things to help improve my mental health, but nothing seemed to work. Until my support coordinator recommended yoga.

Estelle is an amazing person and she has been incredibly patient and understanding with me throughout our sessions. She has taught me various poses and breathing techniques that have helped me to feel more relaxed. Every time I leave our session, I feel calmer and more in control of my thoughts and feelings.

Through yoga, I have been able to gain a better understanding of myself and how to manage my emotions more effectively. I am so thankful for Estelle and the yoga sessions that she has provided for me. Without her support, I don't know where I would be."
