At Kindred Warrior, yoga has always been about more than movement on the mat. It’s about connection, community, and creating space for people to support each other through different stages of life.
That’s why we’re starting something new — a Yoga, Walk & Chai community morning designed for women who would love to connect outside of class, spend time in nature, and add a little more movement to their week.
If you enjoy yoga, walking, fresh air, and meaningful conversation, this event is for you.

A Community Yoga Event in Lilydale
On Saturday 29 March, we’ll begin the morning with our 8:30am yoga practice at Kindred Warrior Yoga Studio in Lilydale.
After class, we’ll head over together to Lilydale Lake, one of the Yarra Valley’s most beautiful walking spots, for a relaxed community walk.
We’ll meet at the lake at 10:00am, grab a coffee or chai, and enjoy a gentle walk together around the lake.
Some people may stay for one lap, others may stay for two — there’s no pressure. The intention is simply to move, chat, and enjoy time together in nature.
A Walking Group for Women in Lilydale
Many women tell us they would love to walk more but find it difficult to stay consistent on their own.
This community morning is perfect if you:
want to add more walking to your weekly routine
enjoy meeting new people in the Yarra Valley
are building fitness for a longer walk or hike
want more opportunities to socialise outside yoga class
simply enjoy fresh air and good conversation
Walking is one of the most accessible forms of exercise, and when done in community it becomes something even more powerful — movement, friendship, and wellbeing combined.

At Kindred Warrior, we believe wellness isn’t only about structured classes.
Sometimes the most meaningful moments happen after class, when people stay for tea, share stories, or plan a coffee together.
This event is about nurturing that sense of sangha — the yoga philosophy of community.
The friendships that grow inside a yoga studio often become one of the most supportive parts of a person’s wellbeing journey.
Our Yoga, Walk & Chai morning is a simple way to create more of those moments.
Join the Yoga Class or Meet Us at the Lake
You’re welcome to join the morning in whichever way works best for you.
Option 1 – Full Morning Experience
Start with our 8:30am yoga class at Kindred Warrior, then join us for the walk afterwards.
Yoga is charged as a regular class booking.
Option 2 – Walk & Chai Only
If you can’t make the class, you are absolutely welcome to join us directly at Lilydale Lake at 10:00am.
The walk and catch-up are completely free community events, and everyone is welcome.
Building Community Through Yoga in the Yarra Valley
Kindred Warrior was created as a safe and welcoming space for people to reconnect with their bodies and find community through movement.
Events like this allow us to extend that connection beyond the studio walls — into nature, into conversation, and into shared experiences.
