Kids Calm Space

Our Kids Yoga classes run in accordance with the school term, they have been designed and structured to build upon skills as the kids progress through the course. We have two groups, Little Critters for the 5 – 7 year olds, and Growing Blossoms for the 8 – 12 year olds.

A terrifying number of 1 in 7 Primary School kids suffer from a mental illness, it is in our hands as adults to change this through teaching positive mental health strategies to help children feel safe and happy. These classes have been designed to develop a greater awareness of this growing problem and to help give these beautiful kids tools to assist with decreasing these growing statistics.

This is a space for play, growth, learning and self-development. A space for kids to explore their inner calm through guided Yoga and Meditation, specifically designed to improve their social and emotional skills. These classes aim to reduce anxiety, create more self love and acceptance, come back to their true nature of compassion, improve concentration which will transfer into their learning at school, create strength and flexibility in both their mind and body, and improve their overall well-being.

The biggest take away is that each child will gain amazing tools that they can use in their daily lives. The philosophy behind this practice is to create a greater self awareness so the way in which these kids live their daily lives is improved.

Scientifically proven benefits of Yoga and Meditation for kids:
-Improves attention and behaviour
-Immense benefits for kids with hyperactivity disorders, anxiety, depression, additional learning and behavioural needs
