Your body is changing. Your energy might be changing. The things that used to work for you may not work quite the same way anymore.
And amongst all the information about perimenopause and menopause, it can be hard to know what you actually need.
Midlife, Menopause & Me is a supportive three-hour afternoon bringing together three experienced practitioners to explore menopause and midlife from three different but complementary perspectives: movement and nervous-system support, nutrition and hormonal health, and navigating the practical changes of everyday life.
This isn’t about giving you another long list of things you should be doing.
It’s about helping you better understand the body you’re living in now and giving you realistic tools to help you move, nourish, rest, adapt and feel more supported through this stage of life.
No previous yoga experience is needed.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Gentle Yoga & Movement with Estelle
We’ll begin with a 45-minute gentle yoga practice designed to help you slow down, move your body and reconnect with yourself.
Through accessible movement, mobility, balance, breath and nervous-system regulation, Estelle will encourage you to work with your body rather than feeling as though you constantly need to push it harder.
Estelle will then share a short conversation from a yoga and health-coaching perspective:
Looking After the Body You’re Living In Now
We’ll explore how our approach to wellbeing may need to shift through midlife, including the role of sleep, rest, movement, nourishment and nervous-system regulation, and why small, sustainable habits can often serve us better than an all-or-nothing approach.
Midlife Nutrition with Carla Johnson
Changing hormones can bring plenty of questions about food, weight, energy and what we should or shouldn’t be eating.
Carla will help cut through some of that noise and explore how we can nourish ourselves through perimenopause and menopause in a realistic and sustainable way.
Her approach is evidence-based, weight-inclusive and refreshingly practical, helping women move away from restrictive advice and build greater knowledge, confidence and trust around food and their bodies.
Navigating Midlife with Kathryn Horley
Perimenopause and menopause don’t only affect our physical bodies. They can influence the way we think, feel, function and manage the demands of everyday life.
Kathryn will explore some of the real-life challenges women can experience during this stage, including changes in energy, sleep, brain fog, overwhelm and capacity.
We’ll look at how adjusting routines, rethinking expectations and making small, realistic changes can help create a life that feels more manageable, balanced and supportive rather than simply continuing to push through.
AFTERNOON TEA & CONNECTION
There will also be time to pause and enjoy a beautiful, nourishing afternoon tea together.
This is an important part of the afternoon: a chance to connect, have conversations and spend time with other women who may be navigating many of the same changes.
We’ll finish the afternoon with an open Q&A with Estelle, Carla and Kathryn, giving you the opportunity to ask questions and hear three different professional perspectives.
